Dance Ensemble
The Greendale Ensemble has grown into a vibrant platform where passion, discipline, and cultural appreciation come together through dance. Over the years, the ensemble has consistently demonstrated excellence, commitment, and teamwork, earning recognition at both school and national levels.
As the saying goes, “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” This belief is reflected in the ensemble’s consistent achievement of the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Certificate of Distinction in 2023, a testament to the dancers’ hard work, resilience, and artistic growth. Through rigorous training and a strong emphasis on expression and technique, the ensemble continues to raise performance standards while nurturing confidence and character in every dancer.
In 2025, the Greendale Ensemble was honoured to be part of the National Day Parade (NDP), a proud moment that allowed students to contribute to a national celebration and perform on a prestigious stage. This experience deepened students’ sense of national pride, teamwork, and responsibility, while exposing them to large-scale productions and professional rehearsal processes.
Beyond competitions and national events, the ensemble actively gives back to the community. Through collaborations with the Punggol Community Committee, the Greendale Ensemble takes part in the annual Racial Harmony Parade, using dance as a powerful medium to celebrate Singapore’s multicultural identity and promote unity and mutual respect.
In addition, the Dance Ensemble showcases its versatility and commitment to school culture by performing multiple dance pieces at ELADNEERG every other year, contributing meaningfully to the school’s biennial celebrations and providing students with regular opportunities to perform for the wider school community.
Through every performance, the Greendale Ensemble embodies the values of dedication, inclusivity, and excellence—dancing not just to perform, but to communicate stories, emotions, and shared values, while representing the Greendale spirit with pride.
